New gameplay trailer for Final Fantasy XIII

I recently had the ability to rekindle my love for video game hacking. Being out of the loop for a good 4 to 5 years can feel like a chore of catch up given the next generation of systems that have come out since my last period of gaming indulgence.
The Final Fantasy series started for me in junior high with VII like most gamers my age. These games have continued to evolve with every release since and regardless of the different ideas within the battle system or even concept or atmosphere the games bring, I have always given them a shot. Being a big fan of VII I am pleased to see the new XIII looks to take the original turn based battle mode back possibly dropping the gambit system that established XII as one of the biggest hit or miss titles in the series. Plus the atmosphere of this soon to be released title has a similar feel to VII and VIII with the visuals and attitude.
Words really do not describe how epic this title looks to be. And thank you Square Enix for releasing this title after the hefty price tag on PS3 and XBOX dropped!!!! That is right my friends, you now have a choice as its the first game in the series to let go of exclusive rights to Sony.
From repeatedly watching new gameplay footage, my favorite character so far is the guy with a baby chocobo riding in his afro. Check out additional gameplay footage at gamersyde.com.
ALSO!! There is a second title being released under the same XIII umbrella called VERSUS. Part of three Final Fantasy XIII games from Sqaure-Enix, Versus is the story of a young king sworn to defend the last crystal in the world from the “hectic order” outside of his kingdom. It’s a fight between ancient and modern techonology, and the struggle of one king to protect the old ways.

Well today is the big day… Will I join the masses complaining that the game is too linear? Or will I not give a shit and enjoy the fact that like all titles that are currently evolving to a new platform, Final Fantasy XIII is going to be the most cinematic experience yet?

Resident Evil 5 game review
here is my review of the newest installment of the Resident Evil series. i played it through on an XBox360 and a 46″ 1080p samsung television. RE4 is one of my favorite games of all time, 5 had some big shoes to fill and just didn’t quite do it…

a high gamer
i’m not going to advocate drug use, or promote abstaining from chemical substances for that matter. i am however, going to laugh out loud at the feeble attempts of: abovetheinfluence to scare gamers away from using marjiuana with this website: “GAMING HIGH”
so much energy in this world is spent on matters that matter not (in the grand scheme of things.)
at least show people both sides of the coin. as bill hicks said: “If you don’t believe drugs have done good things for us, then go home and burn all your records, all your tapes, and all your CDs because every one of those artists who have made brilliant music and enhanced your lives? distant worlds comp tix!
the producers of the distant worlds concert series were nice enough to hook modernsextrash up with comp tickets to the show held here in minneapolis on april 11th, 2009 at the orpheum theatre! i love final fantasy and Nobuo Uematsu’s music is not only an influence for my musical journey but an inspiration to me for how music and visuals are ‘hopelessly’ fused in our digital world.
seeing his music performed live will be an epic moment and i encourage anyone who has played these games to join us to see Mr. Uematsu’s creations come to life.
i’m stoked… check back for my reivew!

RE5 Xbox 360 demo -first look!
we red-eyed it up following twitter, myspace and messaging ppl on xbox live to make sure we could play and share our first look at resident evil 5 the first moment possible. this is our first look at the game.
we downloaded it in minneapolis @ about 4:15am 1-26-09.
we were going for speed, not quality. any comments on the shitty blue streak at the bottom of the tv -direct it to my friend who destroyed his television by playing WoW.
but i do apologize about the off center camera.
just go download/buy it yourself and experience it the way it is meant to be
